This Friday, at around noon PST (8 PM GMT, I believe), I’m going to hop on my laptop’s webcam and do a livechat with LRR fans.
I’ll announce the stream on the LRR twitter feed (@loadingreadyrun) and on my own twitter account as well (@tim_lrr).
The URL will be http://www.ustream.tv/channel/behindlrr
This livechat will have two purposes:
1) I want to hang out with and talk to you guys, because you’re awesome.
2) I want to talk about the Runners and their future and get some input from all of you.
With the switchover to the Escapist, things have definitely changed around here, and the Runners have to change to reflect that. Before we go and do anything drastic, though, I’d like to hear some opinions from the people who will be affected most. I also want to be able to give you some warning before any changes happen.
I hope you all tune in and that this will be informative and productive.

I found this site by means of the Escapist News Network, which featured Sir Fragsalot’s very own Chad X in a panel discussing the Game of the Year for 2009.

For the 2008 LRR live screening in Victoria, we gave the LRR fan community the opportunity to vote on which fan-favourite classic videos we would show.
This year, we want to do the same thing, but we’re restricting voting to only members of the Runners fan club.

Welcome to LoadingReadyRunners.com!
If you’re a fan of commodoreHUSTLE and Loading Ready Run, then you already have some idea where this site is coming from and what it is for, but I’m going to go ahead and lay out some of our plans for the site and how you can get involved.
The Loading Ready Runners website is meant to be a fan club for cH and LRR and a portal to community participation and interactivity, as well as an outlet for bonus content and fan-made tributes. Some of the details on how these various aspects of the site will work are still up in the air, but that’s the nature of a community-driven endeavour. We look forward to getting your input and seeing the Runners evolve over time.
At launch, here are a few of the things you can see on the website:
- Downloadable bonus content, such as posters, wallpapers, MP3s of original music, and more.
- Fan-made videos and other fan-created content.
- Community challenges and events, also known as “Operations.” (The first of these will be launching in the next day or two.)
There will also be a Runners-only forum on the LoadingReadyRun.com forums, where members of the Loading Ready Runners can discuss Runners operations, work together to make new Runners content, or just hang out in the hood bein’ all gangsta and such.
Details on how you can join the Loading Ready Runners will be announced soon! Until then, enjoy the bonus content.
